After their best ever season, in 2012/13, when they won the County Plate and achieved a phenomenal win-loss and points difference record, as well as regularly playing top-flight Junior rugby with sides from across the Thames Valley (Berkshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire) and Wales, Grove U16 are readying themselves for Oxfordshire Division 1 rugby in the 2013/14 season.
U16 rugby also brings lifting in the line-outs, and the 2013/14 season new rules in the scrum.
Following very intensive pre-season training, half of it with the Club's First XV and other Senior and U17 players, the squad is now getting ready for the new season.
Join Us -- Great Fun and Great Rugby !!!
As always, we are keen and welcoming of new recruits -- all we ask is that you really want play, and enjoy, rugby. No pressure to commit, just join us for training and see how it goes. We have a truly fantastic team spirit (and great tours!), and play some really fast, exciting and powerful rugby. We are looking to expand our squad to support the higher level of rugby, and are open to keen recruits of all standards (we have a great coaching team, who can help every level of player).
For more information about joining the Grove Rugby U16 squad, you can just turn up to a training session (check our fixtures page for our whereabouts on Sundays), or contact us beforehand.
